Before the end of 2022, the Tanah Barak Beach area was a hidden gem along the coastal region of Kutuh Village, South Kuta. This beach lay hidden behind a cluster of tall, rugged limestone hills. Because there was no access road yet, the beauty of the white sand beach below was almost untouched by tourists. Only local fishermen or nearby residents would occasionally visit the area.The creation of this iconic cliff began when the local government, together with the Kutuh Traditional Village, decided to open a new access road to the beach. They carved straight through the limestone hills, leaving behind soaring limestone walls tens of meters high on both sides of the road. The rough texture left by the heavy machinery excavation accidentally created a highly aesthetic look. This access road and the Tanah Barak Beach area were finally officially opened to the public at the end of 2022.
